My neighbour is a noisy ignorant barstool who plays his music extremely
loud with loads of bass every night, it irritates the hell out of me
and is driving me mad. Does anyone know a way of generating a signal
that can disrupt his speakers similar to the way mobile phone does when
a message or call is received? This would have to be a strong enough
signal to penetrate a wall and preferably be directional.

Alternatively I will pay for a brick to be put through his window.

Ask him to turn the bass down at night.

If he refuses, then move on to step 2.

- Trty a Really cheap CB Radio; the signal should be picked up by the

Just call the cops and make a noise complaint. Maybe get a few there
neighbors to make a complaint too.

No loop needed. You tape the mike against the wall and broadcast back
the offending noise. His speaker wires will act as an antenna. It would
be interesting to see what feedback happens.

Not to hijack, but that pic is of the actual working sound cannon the Third
Reich had during the war.

The Nissan factory about twenty miles North of me has some sonic sound
cannons. They used them to bust up hailstones so the hailstones won't
mess up the new factory vehicles sitting out there in the parking lot.

Spiteful:

A simple oscillator, colpits, hartley, etc., powered by a rectified,
unfiltered dc power supply will play havoc with the band the osc is
designed for (use a low-Q tank circuit.) You should be able to find
schematics on the net.

If this isn't powerful enough, add an rf amp behind the osc.

JS
