**** you, fake Hispanic - I got rid of your wet-back ass on

You did not get rid of me. I stopped posting and even reading the one board
where you post, of my own choice.

HD, good or bad, is a reality. Nothing you can say is going to change that.
And nobody is going to pick a separate solution for AM, a band that is each
day further speeding to death (not how many major news talk stations have
moved to FM this year... some abandoning the AM entirely). You can not
change HD, and you certainly can not save AM.

Again, doesn't matter, how many stations are
broadcasting in HD (only 1/13th, as of now)

Those 1,100 stations represent about 50% of all radio listening and more
than half all radio billings in the US.

and all the other stations
are on hold, to include, CPB stations ! HD Radio is a fraud and a farse
and will fail - a new portable Internet Radio is doe out, within a year
- the HD Radio killer ! **** you, Eduardo - fake Hispanic (that is the
only reason you got your job at Univision, you ****ing high-school
dropout) !

You are not in the industry, and have no idea how radio works.

P. S. I dropped out of school to build and manage my own major market radio
station, which became a group of 12. I later got my H.S. degree, and did
over 140 university credits for my own satisfaction. Pick something to
criticize that is important next time, please.

I know a loser technology and the general public isn't buying into this
farse - so keep broadcasting away in HD, because no one is listening -
idiot !

First of all, high-schools don't give degrees, they give diplomas, one
which you do not have - oh my, so you have a lousy GED. And, if you had
so many college credits, which I know you don't, you could have gotten
a degree in General Education, with 140 credits. Full-of-****, as
usual, old fake Hispanic !

There is nothing new to hear - just the same old repetitive terrestrial
radio. HD Radio is a fraud and a farse ! To learn more, go to:

Oh yeah, I'm going to spend $500 for a AM/FM portable radio! BA HA HA

First of all, high-schools don't give degrees,

The do in Ecuador. It is called the "grado de bachiller" and that is what I
got. Not useful in the US, as the school, then, was not a member of any
Northamerican accreditation board.

Which is what I got in the US as my degree from Ecuador as well as my

The credits are from Puerto Rico, Ecuador and the US. Since I went to
college to learn things that would benefit me personally, long after I had
been a station owner and manager, I did not need the degree. I do not think
I have ever been asked for my educational background, in fact. Having
profitable, high rated stations is the criteria used.

So why waste time trying to get a paper that is useless to me?

Perhaps he's pulling a 'Michael Bryant'... making claims of educational

Wouldn't surprise me based upon some of his other claims.

Actually, in Radio, that happens every day. At CCU. At CBS.

One of the common saws in Radio used to be: "Most people get into
radio because they washed out of Hamburger U."

That's been true of two of the stations I've worked at. One, not only
flunked out of Hamburger U, but managed to screw up the promotion and
advertising on a brand new McDonald's (this is in the 70's) so badly,
the store closed 3 months after it opened, and McDonald's couldn't get
traction in that market for nearly a decade.

The truth is, that people in Radio have been hired without much
educational credential since its inception. And even today, with
monolithic corporate ownership, people are being hired because of their
track records, and, in many cases, regardless of education.

Many of the successful broadcasters I know are high school dropouts.
Some have a bit of college history. But if I had to put a number on the
actual people I know who have college degrees in positions of
responsibiity in radio, I'd have to say it would be less than 40%. Your
mileage may vary.

And not to put too fine a point on this...much of what we complain
about, today, regarding Radio, is the result of MBA's rising in the
Chain of Command.

The fact is that work experience is the prime quality one looks for in radio
management.

A college degree is essentially a statement that you have enough knowledge
to successfully START learning the radio business.

I even know some brilliant radio engineers who did not go to college... they
learned by practice and reading and study.

I have no idea what your obsession with that piece of paper is. The rest of
us in radio are concerned with proven on the job experience and success.
