I have a dx-394, no mods, much better shape cosmetically, works as well
as when new. Damage to one fold-up leg on the bottom, other than that,
very good shape--someone make me an offer, I'll supply pics. wide grin

I was looking at the DX-394 as a good platform for experimenting with
detectors and stuff.. Last year they were going for a reasonable 100
bucks or so on Epay - about what I figure they're worth. Now it seems
they are all fetching 200 bucks or so.

I am sure both pro and con will be said about the receiver, but I don't
think it is so bad, looks kewl.

I have heard that it is the most "modded" radio ever (most documented
mods available), a quick search of the internet sure turns up a lot of
mods, I have been tempted but left it stock.

I'de never buy anything off Ebay - I just looked at the Sony ICF-S10MK2
hand-held AM/FM radio, which I got from J&R Music for $10/ea including
