Default Looks like iNiquity may get its way on nighttime AM IBOC !

God Damn It - I hope, there is something left on SW. Now that Canada
has authorized IBOC, they will surely follow suit ! The only hope, is
that the general public will continue its apathy towards HD Radio/IBOC
!

Canada has not authorized HD... all they did was open an inquiry and study.

Yes, they have:

And, all they would have to do, is the samething with the FM
translators, because they have issues with nighttime AM IBOC:

There's no doubt, Canada will allow it.

Yes, they have:

Read again. They said they would accept applications, which in Canada
triggers a review of any new technology. There is no approval

Well, then there is a tiny bit of hope.

MW Broadcast Band is dead. Stick a fork in it. FCC is going to allocate new
abandoned TV channels to AM broadcasters. It'll all be over in about 10
years.

According to the Bridge Ratings, analog radio has been extended out to
the middle of the century, ****-face. You obviously don't know ****.
AS a matter of fact, the AM band is alive and well, with talk/news !

"Opening Up the Conversation - talk radio new formats to attract new
audiences"

"Talk radio is still tremendously popular, capturing 17 percent of all
listeners during a given quarter-hour period, a share that has remained
stable over the past few years. Radio talk show hosts wield enormous
influence... Talk programs also tend to be more expensive for
advertisers than music formats... Talk has consistently been among the
top three formats in terms of converting audience share to revenue
share."

Too bad, looks like AM talk-radio is doing just fine, in the US !
Just, talking out of your ass !
