Default I just ordered the Sangean HDR-1 high def radio

Hi. I admit I am a radio buff and have been interested in this radio
for some time. I like that it's in stereo, and that it gets HD
stations and/or regular stations. The radio will seek only the HD
stations if I want. Sangean makes good radios and I am looking forward
to trying this one out. J&R priced matched for me $229 with a $50
rebate. Please post all of your opinions, positive and negative. Dont
be shy: if I don't like the unit, I will send it back.

Why not get a real radio that isn't saddled with all the HD crap?

Because he specifically wanted an IBOC-capable receiver?

It's like....why buy a MW/FM radio when a MW radio works just fine?
Because you want the FM.

You're making sense, again, there, Stephanie.

You know how well THAT flies, here.

I don't know why this isn't a "real radio." It gets both HD and regular
radio.

Actually, what I really wanted was a WR-2 in stereo. That's what this
is, really. The fact that it also gets HD stations is just a plus.

You paid a lot of extra cash for the HD capability. Hope it is worth it
for you.

I will let you know after I get the radio. I don't think any of you
have any experience yet with the HDR-1, do you?
