DE1121 FAQ now online--includes airband hack

I'm compiling a FAQ for this idiosyncratic radio:
http://simart.googlepages.com/faq.html. There's an interesting way to
get airband frequencies 129.92-130.04Mhz using the memory presets. This
is a fun radio, but it's different. Duncan Ross posted a brilliant
review on the KA1121_DE1121 yahoo group, and I love these quotes:

"Despite being easily the better receiver, the DE1103 is plain and
dull. The newcomer [DE1121] is fiddly, frustrating and slightly less
capable but much more fun to use in a masochistic way and the station
names and unattended recordings make all the difference."

"If the DE1103 is the DXer's friend, the DE1121 is it's idiot little
brother that can't be relied upon but knows all the girls. Buy one."

I don't mean to nitpick but would it really be considered a hack if
that's what the frequency is out of the box?

Also has anyone tried to make this go beyond 30mhz? (say between 30 and
70...

Sometimes "special button combinations" that enable unadvertised, or
unintended features are referred to as "hacks," so I meant it in that,
admittedly loose, sense. And to the best of my knowledge, no one has
tried to extend frequency coverage beyond 30000. I'm guessing that
because of the ability to change the firmware, we may see some
interesting things from this radio in the future.
