I just got one, pretty dirty but mostly there...
Need to start cleaning it up, restring dial cords..
Bring it it slowly with a Variac..
I wish I could remember the issue of QST when it was reviewed...
Anyone recall?

It has to be mechanically sound. The wafers must be intact and
properly aligned. The contacts must still have some spring in them.
It's difficult to replace a wafer with another copy of the radio to
rob parts from. Virtually mpossible without.
