The 666 Revelations junk probably refers to Hebrew-Aramaic or Greek
numerology in which the first 10 letters are 1-10, the 11th letter is
20, 12th is 30, ... up to 100, 200, ...

So you pay Rebbe Nissim ben Nissim (Nissim = miracles in Hebrew) 52
rubles and you will have a son. Or at least you will be 52 rubles
poorer.

(Son - ben which is spelled bet-nun and bet=2 and nun=50. The Hebrew
aleph-bet doesn't have explicit vowels.)

Traditionally, Jews give charity in multiples of 18 units because
Khet-Yud (8-10) is khai is life.

Of course, trying to prove that a politician you don't like has the
number 666 has been going on for just about as long as Revelations has
been aroune.
