I used to have an ANC-4 but sold it after I had the 1026 modified. The 1026 allows for the use of a telescoping antenna or an external antenna and has jumper positions that can be set that affect the gain of the unit. The Quantum Phaser has inputs for 2 external antennas and was designed to be compatible with the Quantum QX series of antennas. I have had no regrets about selling off the ANC. YMMV according to your location. JB |
