Sunspot cycle/Propagation -
 
Hi Newbie hear, so please don't shoot me!

Are we currently at the bottom of the sunspot cycle, hence the poor
reception from around 10MHz and above?

Could someone also point me in the direction of a good web resource
for showing the anticipated best times for reception across the bands?

Not yet, that will be january 2008, the cycle is a total of 11 years, so
currently we are pretty much at the minimum anyway indeed ;)

Climbing back out of the minimum goes quicker then going into it, so
hopefully conditions will improve quickly after jan. next year...

We are currently at or near the bottom of the sunspot cycle.

Here is a useful web site that will give you the maximum useable
frequency at any given time, for your location:
