FCC ruling on Cell Phones on Air Planes

Understand the FCC has now officially ruled no use of cell phones on
air planes. Anyone know how they are going to enforce this?? How
will they be able to keep passengers from using their cell phones.
Information I saw ono ruling didn't seem to outline that part of the
ruling. Thanks.

I suppose unless they deputize the sky marshals they probably can't,
though...

might the cellular companies be able to handle enforcement? I'd suppose
if they found every cellsite within 50 miles was seeing my phone at the
same time, it would be a pretty good bet I was using it in an airplane...

(and it's to the companies' advantage to see this enforced: they're the
ones who are going to have to buy more frequencies & base-station
equipment if airborne use becomes widespread)
