The ones you listed are hardly OLD.

when i read it i thought old was the 1940s...these are 20 year old
movies! ANd hardly classics...let's face it, dirty dancing was just 80s
junk with a 60s soundtrack.

The Third Man flick is good.1965,when I was at Fort Hood,Texas. One
evening,I was walking along a street in beautiful down town
Killeen,Texas.I saw a purty girl who worked behind the counter in that
restaurant/cafe in beautiful down town Killeen.I went in there and I
ordered a cup of coffee and a hamburger.(not much to do in down town
Killeen in 1965) I dropped a few coins in that thingy at the counter,I
played The Third Man theme music on that jukebox. The girl said, Who is
playing that? I played dumb.I quickly realized the girl has NO class at
all!

Casablanca would be good in any era. Given your rules, I think it
would still be a hit even if it is released black and white. The one
liners were awesome. The girl was beautiful.

The BEST one liners in any American movie. For example:

"Here's looking at you kid."

"I stick my neck out for nobody."

"Play it, Sam. Play 'As Time Goes By.'"

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks
into mine."

"You played it for her, you can play it for me."

"Round up the usual suspects."

"Looie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

Never once in that film does anyone say ,"Play it again, Sam." The
beautiful girl named Ilsa Lund in the picture was Ingrid Bergman. "As
Time Goes By" by Herman Hupfeld was the one song most closely
associated with any American movie. It's the BEST film I ever
saw,period.
