To the Group:

If you don't already subscribe to MONITORING TIMES (and I STRONGLY
recommend that you do so as well as subscribing to POPULAR
COMMUNICATIONS), you may wish to buy a copy of the May 2007 issue
which arrived here yesterday.

The four mid-priced portables compared are the Grundig G4000A, the
Kaito KA-1103, the Grundig G5, and the Sony ICF-SW7600GR.

Todd Van Gelder's article and his comparisons are very interesting,
well thought-out, and well-written. The comparisons are quite
detailed.

I think everyone here will enjoy it.

Best,

Joe

Which one of those radios does Monitoring Times says stacks up the
bestest?
Last time I was at the Barnes & Nobel store in Jackson, years ago,I saw
some Monitoring Times magazines on one of the magazine racks.

The only magazines I subscribe to for snail mail delivery are Popular
Science and Popular Mechanics magazines, the bestest two magazines in the
World, been subscribing to them since 1949.

Sometimes those magazines will flat out Lie to you.Popular Science
magazine once ''tested'' a Sangean AM FM TV Weather ''radio''.Popular
Science magazine flat out lied about that Sangean POS ''radio''.Popular
Mechanics magazine (a Commie Hearst rag) kissed up to U.S.fed govt's
''official story'' about September 11,2001.

Dear Cuhulin,

Sorry - no "spoilers!" You should read the article for yourself. Try
that Barnes & Noble or even your public library. Or, as I do,
subscribe. It's well-worth it! (I have also been a subscriber to
POPULAR MECHANICS and POPULAR SCIENCE for over fifty years.)

Best,

Joe
