Now this was booming in at S-9+ with Good Audio
around 8:30 to 8:50 PDT.

The only listing that I could find for 540 kHz and
"The Big Time Saturday Night" Radio Program
was XSUR [XSURF] from Tijuana, MX with a listed
Power of 1 Kilo Watts Days and 250 Watts Nights

Note the FCC has "XETIN" on 540 kHz in Tijuana, MX
rated at 100 Watts Days

? Anyone know the true Power Output
of this Radio Station Day and Nights ?

I wouldn't ordinarily trust the FCC's listings for foreign stations.
These foreign stations are as "notified" under International
Telecommunications Union regulations - and often don't reflect what's
actually operating. (don't blame the Mexicans; the US does the same thing)

However, in this case the FCC's listing agrees with the official Mexican
government listing on http://dgsrt.sct.gob.mx/fileadmin/ligas/radio_AM.pdf .

Given claims that this station "...has a better reach into Orange
County,..." I have to wonder if the actual power is considerably higher
than listed? - though groundwave coverage is better on 540 than on any
other frequency.
