You know those flourescent camp lanterns that use batteries and they put
out a lot of light? I own five of them.I would like to have several LED
light camp lanterns that put out a lot of light because they last so
much longer on batteries.That would be good to have for when stormy
weather knocks out the electric power.I think they would sell like
hotcakes in the stores.

Greetings;

C. Crane sells a nice dynamo LED lantern for $50. I bought the earlier
battery model and it worked nicely during the outages I've experienced. The
dynamo one is even better since it can be charged by hand and the top part
folds down for easier storage.

I did notice one problem with DX. When my LED lantern was set on a lower
setting to conserve the batteries, it interfered with AM and low shortwave
frequencies. Apart from that, it makes a nice emergency light.

Sincerely,
