radio. I most certainly see how this difference in language would cause

Mike - Yes it should have read 'can't -but- then I am Listening
to an Audio Monitor to "The Patient" and typing here in the
Office on the Computer -and- getting up and doing a Visual
Check of "The Patient" and doing what needs to get done
for "The Patient". Then returning hear to the Office and
continuing my stand-by activities.

But again you are right there is a 'difference' between so-called
American 'english' and and Canadian "English" : IMHO many
Americans today would Proudly say that they Speak "American"
and it is the English who speak English.

Speaking "American" is part of the "American" National Identity
and American's are Proud of the "Americanism".
