TIP - Expanding and Extending the Antenna Probe
to obtain more Signal :
.
NOTE - The Antenna Probe is 26 Inches Long with a 1 Inch Diameter.
.
Take a one of the smaller Slinky Jr.s place it over the
"Antenna Probe" LF Engineering H-800 SkyMatch Active Antenna
.
First - Use a Plastic Tie to secure the bottom of the Slinky
to the bottom of the Probe were the Rubber Sleeve meets the
bottom End-Cap.
.
Second - Secure a piece of 15 Lb or heavier Mono Fish-Line
to the Top of the Slinky.
.
Third - Gradually Stretch-out the Slinky about Two-Feet at a
Time and Test for improved Signal Levels and also check for
AM/MW Band intermodulation and signal images.
.
NOTE - Slinky Jr. {Junior} has about 85 Turns with a Diameter
of 1 7/8 Inches and a Circumference of 5.89 Inches for a
Total Wire Length of "41.7" Feet. The Optimum "Stretched-Out"
Length of the Slinky Jr. is about 13.3 Feet

Speak of the devil. Something happened to my H-800. It powers up but
seems to have lost all sensitivity. A nearby lightning strike probably
blew the FET in the e-probe. That's my guess, anyway.- Hide quoted text -
