The DeSoto brand was killed for several reasons, one of which it was not easily distinguished from Dodge and Plymouth in consumers eyes. I've had the opportunity to drive a variety of older Chrysler products including a 1936 Chrysler Airflow, 1941 Plymouth and a 1949 Dodge but not a DeSoto. Hey Roadie, I own a 1940 Chrysler Royal coupe and used to own a 1949 Chrysler Windsor. Both with Fluid Drive. Would love to get a 46-48 DeSoto, beautiful waterfall grill! -- "What do you mean there's no movie?" |
