The rec.radio.info newsgroup, first established in 1993, has been
recently revived by an active moderation team. We are currently seeking
suitable information, FAQ, and bulletin articles from the entire
rec.radio.* newsgroup hierarchy for simultanous cross-posting to our
newsgroup.

We are seeking replacement maintainers for the following information
bulletins formerly posted to rec.radio.shortwave (and currently archived
at http://www.faqs.org/faqs/radio/monitoring/ ):

radio/monitoring/am-fm-dxing
Subject: Welcome to rec.radio.shortwave (AM/FM DXing)

We are interested in offering any technical support necessary to get
these articles updated and automatically posted again at regular
intervals. This would include establishing contact with the original
maintainers for any necessary permissions. We would prefer to seek new,
dedicated maintainers at this time, rather than start auto-posting the
original articles ourselves.

Please direct any comments, questions, or criticisms to

Here's a comment for you before I killfile your autoposter so that I
no longer have to see the garbage it regularly spews into multiple
newsgroups: What makes you think that people reading the other
newsgroups in the rec.radio.* hierarchy want you adding to the
pollution by crossposting your FAQ to all these other groups where it
does not belong?

I maintain the FAQ for the alt.sports.football.pro.buffalo-bills
newsgroup. I do not crosspost it to the corresponding newsgroups for
the other 31 NFL teams.

For what it's worth, I am currently subscribed to rec.radio.shortwave
and rec.radio.scanner; before your group started crossposting all this
garbage to other newsgroups I was also subscribed to rec.radio.info
and some of the rec.radio.amateur.* newsgroups. I unsubscribed from
rec.radio.info and several other groups specifically because I got
sick and tired of seeing your drivel crossposted to all of them. Why
don't you just stick to your own group?
