d'Eduardo - And just how many of these 'weak' AM/MW
Radio Stations on the Mexican side of the US {Southern}
Border are Broadcasting in English ? ? ?

Not many. In Tijuana, 1090 and 1700 and 800 are English, in Juárez,
Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, etc. there are none.

? 50 KW ? with the right Antenna gets you a lot of beyond
the 10 mv/m Contour and deep into the heart or Gringo-Land.

The stations on the border serving the US side are mostly serving US
Hispanics, and do so in the community on the other side of the border
with the local groundwave signal.

Five dollars and a drink of water in Tijuana will get you the worse
case of the runs you can imagine.

I am watching Harvesting (Modern Marvels) on the History Channel.A guy
on tv said Franklin Roosevelt initiated the Bracero Program in World War
Two so Mexican labor can do farm labor in America while American farm
people were in World War Two.The Bracero Program was suppose to be
temporary untill the end of World War Two.There were over five million
Mexican (mostly illegal aliens) laborers in America in 1964.Now, there
are over thirty eight million illegal aliens in Ameica.

Wasn't the Mexican ministry of communications bitching about medium
wave stations from the USA running IBOC and screwing with the Mexican
stations?

"Mexico Says Hang on a Minute!"

"Mexico wants U.S. radio regulators to re-think their decision to
allow AMs to go IBOC at night and FMs to operate on the extended
hybrid digital carriers. Our neighbors to the south say they are not
happy the FCC authorized its recent "final" IBOC rules governing
broadcast transmissions without first coordinating those through
international treaties."

Here, send the company some comments:

I guess that Mexico has realized that the FCC is determined to destroy
broadcast radio and auction off the bands at a later time.

Yeah, somehow the number of illegals grew from the ICE, FAIR and other
reputable source 11 to 11.6 million to 38 million. This irrational fear of
immigrants sounds like the story line of a new Steven King novel... the
Langoliers are now the Mexicans. Jeesh. I think the poster is really a
Pastuzo.
