Interesting antenna from the 1930's
I received this link from a lurker at my swler account.
While I have sworn off wire antennas, it is intriguing. http://tf.nist.gov/timefreq/service/pdf/1936_antenna_wwv.pdf It appears to be derived from the works of F. R. W. Strafford as shown at Dallas's files at the kongsfjord page. http://www.kongsfjord.no/dl/Antennas...ise%20Reducing %20Antennas%20II.pdf It has some resemblance to the RCA spider web antenna shown at: http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByModel/808/M0015808.pdf I guess antenna design has been a hot topic since the dawn of radio.
