Interesting antenna from the 1930's
 
I received this link from a lurker at my swler account.

While I have sworn off wire antennas, it is intriguing.

It appears to be derived from the works of F. R. W. Strafford as
shown at Dallas's
files at the kongsfjord page.

It has some resemblance to the RCA spider web antenna shown at:

I guess antenna design has been a hot topic since the dawn of radio.
