lw 279?
 
i have playing around with my new sangean 505 shortwave and had a
search on the lw band and i was picking up like beeping sounds on freq
Lw 279 khz, just wondering anyone have a idea as to wat it is? cheers

Hi Shane

You don't say what part of the world you're in, but if you;re in the US
- they don't use LW for broadcasting, although some navigational beacons
may reside there, so the beeping may be morse from one of those.

Sounds linke you heard some sort of a Non-Directional Beacon
(NDB) on that Frequency.
