Very long time CBC AM radio station CBU 690 khz is leaving the AM band in
favour of FM. http://www.cbc.ca/bc/making-the-move-to-fm/ Apparently their 50kw transmitter atop Mount Seymour is having difficulty reaching the City of Vancouver. CBU can be heard in a very wide area in southwestern British Columbia and the Northwest Washington State without difficulty. Further this station hosts a sw station CKZU @ 6160 Khz. No word on what will happen to the sw broadcast. == |
