Did Monthly check at Best Buy for HD Radios

Did my monthly check at Best Buy to check on the sales status of HD
radios. Same three on the shelf. One box is empty. It's the demo
unit. These three have been there for six months or so.

I decided to give the demo unit a try. Of the three local HD
stations in town (two of which are NPR stations) it could pick up only
one of them. WOW.

The only way I knew it switched from analog to HD mode was to look at
the screen. You sure couldn't discern any significant change in audio
quality.

Not sure what the point is. Who would want one of these?

A question you are not alone in asking.

Maybe, if the system is so good, they should sell a couple hundred
thousand for say $75 to get them in the hands of some real people. The
only people I know with HD radios are insiders.
