For almost an hour now (0000UTC - 0100) have been seeing a broadband
signal centered on 9790 and extending 5kc either side with steep cutoff
after that, tried listening on FM but still mostly white noise, maybe a
video composite. Anyone else see it, or know what it is?

At 1:01 UTC I have radio China International with a good signal. I must
have missed the noise previous to 1:00 UTC.

The digital signal may be DRM.

Go listen to 15,720 in AM mode when RNZ broadcasts their DRM signal and
see if it sounds the same.

I was just looking at a sked for TDP Radio ( Broker) and they have DRM to NA in
English at 0000-0100 on 9790.

Without looking further I have no idea what the content is and don't really care
as DRM = QRM.
