Look at what the worth of the British Pound (money) is worth nowadays
vis a vis the U.S.Dollar.At last count, I think the British Pound
(Sterling?) is worth two dollars.Arrahh, how much money is a Quit worth
versus U.S.Money nowadays, and those Pences too? I can look it up, but I
done got too lazy.

A few years ago, that married Irish woman in Booger Reegizz (Bognor
Regis) England, she snail mailed me a snail mail check (cheque) for some
Maybelline eye liner pencils that I had snail mailed to her.(she said
the stores in her area do not carry those favorite [[On The Rocks]] eye
liner pencils of hers anymore.[[I have to get out every few months to
the stores and buy wimmins eye liner pencils]] I immediately tore that
cheque of hers up and flushed it down my crapper.

Mike you are missing the obvious on the recycling of batteries; we get
the raw materials for them from digging them up from the earth then we
complete the recycling by burying the expended batteries back in the
earth. How much more perfection do you want? Sheesh, next thing ya
know you'll be telling me it'w wrong to pour waste oil into a hole dug
in your back yard.

That's a very bad thing to do. You contaminate the soil. Me? I do the
smart thing and use the toilet. That way, there's no contamination
anywhere. Sometimes I even follow the oil with a few gallons of solvent,
just to ensure the purity of the piping walls. We can't have the insides
of our septic equipment looking like..well..septic equipment.

Just got back to the house to charge the camera batteries, and when I
got out the Maha realized I had given an erroneous reference in my
posting, *should have been;http://tinyurl.com/jonul
not sure how much difference there is other than ability to charge
higher capacity D cells, I haven't read and compared all the specs on
both. Sorry for the confusion.

Hello Group,
I'm rather tired of burning through alkalines on my portable sets (not
to say that the 7600G & GR aren't easy on batteries) and I'm
interested in switching to rechargeables. I would appreciate any
recommendations. Not surprisingly my concerns are longevity and
reliability. Are NiMHs the way to go? I'm using NiMHs in an AOR
8200MkIII since they were supplied with the unit. Usage time between
recharging is not as impressive as I would have hoped for. But then
I've been spoiled by the Li-ion battery in the R20. Any
recommendations are most welcome.

My 8200 came with 1800 mAh batts; *not very high capacity. *I use an
external charger (the 8200 charger is not designed for NiMHs) and
Duracell or Energizer green NiMHs. *These are in the 2400 mAh range,
give or take. *I use the batteries in all my uncorded electronics,
except the remote controls.

Yeah, my '8200 also came with a set of four 1800 mAh NiMHs. According
to the manual, they require a 12 hour charge, if charged in the '8200
itself. That's a dreadfully long wait.
