Getting to know Cindy McCain
There was an article recently in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is. This is a summary of the article. She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher. After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father. They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate. She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these countries on a detonation team and service on their board. They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq, another son in the Naval Academy, a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ., an adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm. Raised kids in Phoenix, Az rather than Washington DC. (better atmosphere) He commuted. In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh. Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband. The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems. They have a Family Foundation for children's causes. She's active with "Halo Trust" - to clear land mines, provide water and food in war ravaged and developing countries. She will join an overseas mission of "Operation Smile", a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces. She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery process. I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. They have tired to discredit John McCain because of his wife's wealth looks as if she knows how to put money and time to use in many good causes. What a novel thought to have such a fine person as "First Spouse" She sounds more capable than Hillary or Obama. We would really get two for the price of one. A person with business and international experience. John did work for the firm for awhile when he left the Navy. She, however, has the real business experience. Very interesting. |

It was a brave and obviously painful thing to do. It was also vintage McCain media manipulation. |

It must be terrible to have your hate eating your guts out day after day. That ailment cost Rather his job and his reputation when everything was finally said and done. What's it costing you? DESERTER THE STORY OF GEORGE W. BUSH AFTER HE QUIT THE TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD SUMMARY An examination of the Bush military files within the context of US Statutory Law, Department of Defense regulations, and Air Force policies and procedures of that era lead to a single conclusion: George W. Bush was considered a deserter by the United States Air Force. After Bush quit TXANG, he still had nine months of his six-year military commitment left to serve. As a result, Bush became a member of the Air Force Reserves and was transferred to the authority of the Air Reserve Personnel Center (ARPC) in Denver, Colorado. Because this was supposed to be a temporary assignment, ARPC had to review Bush’s records to determine where he should ultimately be assigned. That examination would have led to three conclusions: That Bush had “failed to satisfactorily participate” as defined by United States law and Air Force policy, that TXANG could not account for Bush’s actions for an entire year, and that Bush’s medical records were not up to date. Regardless of what actions ARPC contemplated when reviewing Bush’s records, all options required that Bush be certified as physically fit to serve, or as unfit to serve. ARPC thus had to order Bush to get a physical examination, for which Bush did not show up. ARPC then designated Bush as AWOL and a “non-locatee” (i.e. a deserter) who had failed to satisfactorily participate in TXANG, and certified him for immediate induction through his local draft board. Once the Houston draft board got wind of the situation, strings were pulled; and documents were generated which directly contradict Air Force policy, and which were inconsistent with the rest of the records released by the White House. your turn Mark, errr at least that's the name you use now. |

One thing I will say is that you apparently don't understand neck and or back troubles with a lot of pain, and, I certainly hope that you never do. I myself would not wish this crap on even my worst enemy. They were prescription pain killers, but they were not prescribed. He bought them on the black market, quite possibly funding street level violent crime and/or terrorism. I have chronic back pain and have never needed to buy 1,000 narcotic analgesics in front of of a Denny's, with a cigar box full of cash. I have a pain management clinic who takes good care of me. Has Herr Limbaugh never heard of corticosteroids? They don't make you deaf. Probably Rush wouldn't have had to buy Street Drugs n front of Dennys if he'd eat a Salad & walk round the Block now & again.. |

What part about becoming addicted to pain killers that were prescribed don't you understand, idiot? **** you. You brainwashed fascist sympathizers are incapable of admitting that your idol is flawed. Limbaugh is a druggie. Not only that but he is a world class liar but also a hypocrite. It is amazing that Windbag talked once about putting all kinds of drug users in jail. Now why didnt he get the same treatment. as what he said about those drug heads. Like Jail Time. Sounds pretty hypocritical to me but not unlike one would suspect out of a blathering piece of filth |
