Scott McClellan, Bush administration insider since the Texas days dropped a bombshell. His conscience apparently finally got the best of him and his book tells the inside story of why the Iraq 'war' is *fraudulent*, the treasonous outing of Valerie Plame and other White House whoppers and follies. The 27% of you that still think Bush is doing a good job might want to give the book a read. Heck of a job, Georgie! |

Maybe, but unlikely. First, he was Bush's loyal aide for years. I don't know if just finances would cause him to suddenly turn on Bush or if his conscience finally caught up with him. In any event, I wouldn't expect Scott to be too far from the truth; otherwise he and/or his publisher would get their socks sued off of them. I guess we will have to wait and see if the administration actually sues him for slander or just cranks up the spin machine to warp speed. Finally, before making a final judgment, you might want to actually read the book and see how it comes across. BTW, I'm not surprised that the 27% are yelling 'sour grapes' or 'doing it for money', without admitting that there could actually be some truth to what Scott is saying. After all, Scott is not the first "insider" to leave the sinking ship and give their inside view. Republican, conservative, decorated war hero Colin Powell said essentially the same thing -- that *he* was flim-flammed by Georgie and company -- and Powell is NOT writing or selling a book. Maybe where there is smoke, there might be fire, hmmmm? |

You apparently are already there. Down boys, down. lets keep it civil. the main point/ spin, here is, "Did he do it for the money"? i would say yes. after he was hung out to dry by the bushies, he was all but black listed in Texas. just like a few other insiders of the bush admin. and, for the record you don't make a lot of money on book sales. the real money is the advance. i would think Scott knew some of the secrets, where the bodies were buried. watch the repug spin machine, all the players and talkers are repeating almost the exact same thing. so, i would say he is telling the truth. but, read it, it's nothing new. all this has been said before. so, after the smoke clears, things will return to normal. So, to follow your "logic" above, you are implying that the conservative, Republican, decorated war hero General Colin Powell, who essentially said the *same thing* as Scott, is also in the pay of George Soros.
