I know that I have taken advantage of the broadcast industry, with the
attempted transition to HD Radio, but my greed has gotten in the way; besides, Vicki is very high-maintenance. I realize that the transition, or farce as some say, has pretty much stalled, especially on AM, as some broadcasters want to renegotiate with iBiquity, and many have turned off AM-HD. Also, I hope to convince, or some many say scam, the FMs into pushing for the proposed 10db power increase, even though NPR is against the power increase - some engineers even predict another fiasco, as with AM-HD. The NAB and HD Alliance have worked hard to pay off Kevin Martin, but now he is under investigation by Chairman Dingell, of the House Commerce Committee - that damned Bob Savage has submitted a bunch of material to Chairman Dingell, and has even offered to testify in front of the Committee! By hook-or-crook, I'll get my damn IPO off the ground, so I can retire comfortably, where there are no reciprocity laws. I'm also sorry for misleading the Public and the Press about all of the conversions to HD, as many of these stations were NPR, and bilked Congress out of millions. Maybe, I can conn Martin, or Congess, into mandating HD, even though there is zero consumer interest, and many of the HD radios have been returned as "defective". Don't worry that this flawed digital system simply doesn't work, because I have magical persuasive powers that came with my Harvard MBA. |

Struble - You won't live long enough to see your junk digital system become mainstream. With the exception of a few greedy slimballs like yourself no one alive today wants or even cares about Mickey Mouse iBiquity. Take a look at the real "HD" radio sales figures not the inflated ones your handlers show you. I suggest you, J.R. and the rest of your "radio pirates" quit miking the cow and move on. By the way, MBA's are a dime a dozen - nothing special. And you're certainly no radio pioneer like you want to convince the press. |
