I doubt they go on daylight savings time, being near the equator.

Yep, Mali is in the "Zulu" time zone.

My "settings" for the PC clock doesn't have a "GMT-no daylight savings"
or "Zulu" option, but it did have a choice for "Bamako, Mali". It's
what we call a "workaround".

As long as it works, it's A-OK.
