I jsut can't resist ................... have you considered buying one
so you can "go tote your portable?"

Joke aside, from my perspective it would need awesome performance for
me to overcome my dislike of it's 'form factor'. Just not much for
the rack mount appearance of a non-rack mount piece of equipment.
Also not fond of their SSB scheme, although I do like the analog
S-meter. Guess I'll stick to my Sony 7600G for those times I feel
compelled to 'go tote my portable.'

I haven't seen anything indicating that they have a synchronous AM detector.
