Dear Dave,
If it is in excellent+ condition as you indicate, it's worth plenty, maybe even more than you paid for it. But it is my firm opinion that it would be a mistake to sell it. You won't get "rich" from the sale of this radio and, in just a couple of years I suspect that you'll REALLY regret having sold it. Do yourself a favor - pack it away temporarily and, in a year or two, take it out and reacquaint yourself with it. I suspect that, at that time, you may really appreciate what you have. Remember too that most of the few newly introduced tabletop radios are selling in the five figures or close enough to it and these, for all practical purposes, won't outperform your Drake. Keep this radio. I think you won't regret it. and maybe someday you'll even thank me for this advice. I really don't have any use for the big Drake (I still use my SW2 for BCBDX). |
