I was surprised to hear that the ext power jack is center negative,
one of the complaints about my Autek WM-1, and couple that to the
omission of sync-det, and it sounds like something to pass on.
I think one of the regular and respected contributors to this forum,
Brenda Ann, has one, I'd love to hear her evaluation.

Sorry, I don't have a 750. I had given it a lot of thought, but when I
found out about the lack of a synchronous detector and the poor SSB I
decided to pass on it. I have a 700, nice little radio, a 650, and an E1XM.
I did have to send my original E1 back for repairs (the FM stereo didn't
lock in). The one I got back seems to work great. I'm pretty impressed with
the AM/MW on it, considering it hasn't a loopstick.
