Speaker deterioration?
Anyone have any insights into speaker life? What is a reasonable life
span for a small paper cone speaker? It's a bad question, I know. It's a variation on the 'How high is up?' theme, so it's pretty much unanswerable. The reason for asking is the Sangean 909 is slowly losing it's voice. It's been a slow deterioration, with the sound getting more garbled as time goes on. I'm hoping it's the speaker and not the audio section, but I haven't opened it up to look yet. The earplugs have all gone into hiding, so that's no help. mike -- __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / /\ / / / /\ \ /'Think Tanks Cleaned Cheap'/ /\ \/ / /_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ \/_/ Densa International© For the OTHER two percent. Due to the insane amount of spam and garbage, I block all postings with a Gmail, Google Mail, Google Groups or HOTMAIL address. I also filter everything from a .cn server.
