I still am in a state of shock after the election of that negro guy for President so please bear with me as I try to compose my thoughts on how to proceed from here. As you all know I've spent literally hundreds of hours of my time compiling off topic posts and gathering thousands of links to educate all of you about Barrack HUSSEIN Obama. As an elderly retired government bureaucrat I don't have many years of life left. So for me to devote most of my free time researching and writing my brilliant posts I must confess I was devastated that my obsessive compulsive behavior was not rewarded on election night. I was certain that I had swayed the election in favor of my hero John McCain thereby saving the country. *SIGH* Oh sure I've ruined the shortwave newsgroup for all of you who merely desired to enjoy your radio hobby and selfishly believe this newsgroup is for shortwave radio information. But I stand unbowed, undefeated and defiant. I will continue to devote what little time I have left on earth to the posting of off topic political content. To close on a personal note, I frankly feel that I am unappreciated. I do and I do and I do for your people and this is the thanks I get - a Democrat landslide! I thought for sure I was engaged in an election changing endeavor but apparently no one was reading the research I so diligently gathered and shared. Obviously so many of you have killfiled my initials rhf none of you are seeing my scholarship. And that really hurts me! So if those of you who have not killfiled me would launch a campaign on my behalf to get them to un-killfile me I would appreciate it. *I am convinced that the survival of the United States of America depends on it. Thank you, Roy P.S. Is there a way to embed a video with my postings? Also intro music, a theme song for me if you will, seems quite appropriate for someone of my stature. Your thoughts? McCain committed election suicide when he picked Sara Palin. I wonder if anyone turned him down before he picked her? -- BDK BDK Klan leader? kOOk Magnet! NJJ CLUB #1 Shillmaster You know, I don't think "Palin Effect" (Persuadable moderates voting for Obama because of a perception Palin was unqualified) was quite as large as the "Bush effect" (people just generally sick and tired of the kind of leadership they're getting under George W. "My way or f*ck you" Bush.) McCain really had a hard task to shake Bush's unpopularity. The reason why Congress turned more Democratic when Congress's approval rating is even lower than Bush's, is an instructive example of reading the wrong things into statistics. All along, Congress's low rating was based on Republicans, as usual, missing the message contained in their 2006 defeat in a scramble to place blame somewhere else instead of understanding the problems they face. Which is why polls have been showing for a long time that a solid majority of the public wanted Democrats in charge for the last couple years, while the blathering talk show hosts imagined that a lower approval rating for Congress proved that somehow Democrats were less popular than Bush. Pretty silly, but then again these are people who think they're losing because they're not conservative ENOUGH, when anyone who can read polls knows the truth is exactly the opposite. Going to be a long time in the wilderness for Republicans if they can't stand up to their social conservative base and tell them to shut up and behave so the grown-ups (fiscal conservatives) can run the show. |
