Just a quick reminder that the New Year starts early elsewhere!

On Wednesday morning in NA the New Year will begin in New Zealand at 1100 GMT.

In Eastern Australia at 1300 GMT.

In Papua New Guinea at 1400 GMT.

The list goes on, so one might wish to plan ahead for possible reception of
local festivities where live broadcasts might be available.

And then there is always the BBC and the full strike of Big Ben which occurs at
0000 GMT (7 PM EST on 31 December) signaling the GMT New Year!
