Brother Stair - does he ever do live call in shows?
 

Okay, I'll admit it, I was bored and was listening to his doom and
gloom cult for a few hours on 3185. It's sort of entertaining...
weird I know. But unlike Harold Camping, Melissa Scott, or Pete
Peters, he's easier to listen to.

And before I forget, I apologize on behalf of my state of South
Carolina for him. He's not originally from our state but like a virus,
it's hard to remove. He's about 100 miles from where I live.

The only thing I haven't figured out is when his show is live and when
it isn't. It's hard to believe the people will actually give him their
life savings. But Jim Jones and others had the same type of power over
their listeners.

The only thing I haven't figured out is when his show is live and when
it isn't. It's hard to believe the people will actually give him their

ROTFL, indeed he does, or used to be live. There's no reason to
apologize for the prophet. ;-) He is entertaining to listen to, there
is "some" truth to what he is saying but if you only pick up your
bible a couple times a year he can fool you. That is where he is
dangerous.

Back in 00-01 I would call in on his show.:-) I even sent him a few
dollars if I remember correctly. I just don't see how he raped those
girls and either did no time or hardly any time at all if I remember
right. I think I might scoot on over to the Overcomer's website and
see if it's changed at all. :-)

rape case is why the charge got plea bargain down. It would have been
the testimony of the 2 girls versus that of 60 from Stair's cult
community who would testify Stair didn't do a thing and is a saint.

so ex-members of his cult. Stair is appealing it but I think he had to
put up the money during the appeal. That wasn't a problem for Stair.

Stair also ignores the bible and claims God tells him things, like you
should get rid of all your TV's. Of course, since Stair is only on the
web and radio, God didn't command him to tell you to get rid of those
things.

And what makes him dangerous is one of out 1000 who listen to him will
give him their life savings to come live at his compound.

He's right on some issues and wrong on some issues.

But I just read a mini-book about his compound on the web and he runs
it as communist as you possibly can get... Except for Brother
Stair.... just like the book Animal Farm.

hate to follow up on myself about Sex Pervert Brother Stair but I was
listening to him up until right now for the last 30 minutes. I could
swear he is reading this newsgroup. I know he's not live but he's
talked about him not being a cult, not being a millionaire and the
"jail house"... Stair seems really to be ****ed off right now.

No doubt SC, I spent all night yesterday reading that, in between
watching the military channel. I knew when I started listening to
shortwave and heard him, that he is wrong in I would say 75% maybe
more of what he says. But it is something to just listen to this guy
babble....and that is exactly what he does...babbles.

I think what we are getting to hear (sadly) is just like the Jim Jones
saga. Maybe not to the degree of Jones, yet. Just imagine what Stair
and his sidekick Dave would do if the SHTF in the world, I mean worse
than anything any of us has seen. I am sure if "you were in" so too
speak, that there is a big cache of weapons on that property.

I just do not understand how one would end up staying somewhere like
that. I can see originally maybe going there to visit or if you felt
you were called, but after really watching those people, especially
Dave and Stair and some of the things that were said right at the
beginning, someone (Dave) would have had to go to the dentist....I
wonder if they would just tried to pray his teeth back into his gums.
