This is a screenshot of an Icom R-75 being controlled by the Linux
version of 'TK75'.

It's a script based program which can be adapted to W*ndows, Mac or
Linux. You have to have the TCL/TK stuff installed first.

The separate menus are of the 'tear off as needed' variety. Open a menu,
and then, if desired, detach them from the main graphic and place them
wherever you want, one at a time or all of them.

The operating/installation instructions aren't too clear for the Ubuntu
variety, so it took me a while to figure out what was wrong.

The program and overview may be found he

There's an older (stable) version of fldigi in "synaptic". Hamlib will
change freqs and modes on the R-75. Fldigi will decode various digital
modes including CW.

I still often wonder why folks refer to the ICOM as an 'R-75', when clearly,
right on the front of the doorstop, it says R75...

Ah, and straightening us out on that will definitely bring world piece,
eliminate hunger and produce overall harmony.

While R75 may be right : R-75 is "Dashing"
in a 'hyphenated' sort of way.

I figure the R75 being so far away from the operating chair on the floor
next to the door makes it hard to read the small lettering on the front
panel.

Kinda low for me as well. I was not terribly impressed with Hollywood. It was a junky looking place.

It still is. The Japanese seem to like it, however.

That's very telling, Roy. According to all reports John Lennon was very
happy in December of 1980. The only person who did not go through a lot
of anguish was Mr. Lennon himself. Our own death is one thing we will
not have to experience.
