One Word to Describe the Grundig G6 Aviator - WOW!

Hi Guys, I couldn't wait to get home to post after running some errands and 'accidentally' dropping by the electronics store on the way home. Well boys, I HAVE finally taken the plunge and purchased MY very first shortwave unit.... The Grundig Aviator G6 (Special Buzz Aldrin LIMITED Edition), it's sleek and stylish, its lines are smooth, and its oh so sexy - and I am now the proud owner of one! :) Absolutely terrible number of images on the supposed Aviation bands. And many airports don't use all those frequencies as you will find out. Batteries about 8 hours of continuous. 3 clocks and their alphanumberic labelling are good features. Not really sensitive. |

And many airports don't use all those frequencies as you will find out. Likely overload from nearby FM's and businesses. AV Radios are low power. Your avcomms are AM and narrow. If your images are fuzzy and smeared over a wide segment of spectrum, instead of centered on a fairly narrow channel, those are broadcast FM's. |

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. Hopefully he got a good one. One other thing I would recommend, like I do when I take my DX398 out, get you head phones. If you do that, your set of batteries will last an extremely long time. |
