fallen over.
Seems he's still not there 18 months later.

Subject: A Question on Property Ownership in Thailand

Dear All,

Hi everyone, I hope everyone here is well. I am currently doing a lot
of research into many issues related to living permanently in
Thailand. Using mainly websites written by expats who have been
through a lot of these problems already, I consider these types of
websites a useful source for gaining information on a range of
important topics. However, I have read varying reports on the issue
of
non-Thais owning property in Thailand. From what I can gather, non-
Thais cannot own land/a house in Thailand, or if they do want to go
down that road, the land/house must be in the name of a Thai
national.

As I will be residing in Thailand in the next 2 months, I would
really
appreciate some information from long-term residents on the board,
particularly some guidance on what are the facts when it comes to
property ownership.

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind Regards,
Brian Anasta

Thailand is wayyyyyy over yonder on the other side of the World, about
9,179 sumpin miles from where I am.I am not going to Thailand.

That married Irish woman wayyyyyy over yonder across the other big pond
is about 4,523 miles from where I am, plus about 65 miles
South/Southwest of London. If I go anywhere lonnnnng distance, I will go
to Ireland and Scotland and probally Wales.I think the Welsh Eisteddfod
is crankin up over there about this time of the year.

Hi Larby,

How are you going….I hope you are in fine spirits and even better
health. I am sorry I have not been in touch with you for so long, it's
just that I have been fairly busy with work and one thing and another.
How are things for you over there across the ditch? I was over there
myself in June of this year, although I only got to the South Island
as I had just 5 days to spare from work. Had a simply wonderful time
driving from Christchurch in my little Mazda hire car, up to Hanmer
Springs, across to Kaikoura and then down to Akaroa. The weather,
although very cold, was lovely, as was the hospitality received from
everyone I encountered. I must say, the South Island is most
definitely in my top 5 destinations and I am eagerly awaiting the next
opportunity to go back!

Well, please drop me a line when you get the time, as I am interested
to hear what you have been up to.

Best Wishes to you and your loved ones,
Brian and Family.

Greetings Khun Brian,
So nice to catch up again. What a pity you did'nt make it to Tauranga
and enjoy our beautiful weather here.
The weather has been cold he Khun Brian that is true but I'm sure that
the welcome you would have received in Tauranga by His Honour the
Mayor and myself would have more than warmed the cockles of your
heart.
You did however visit a most beautiful part of New Zealand and I admit
that I have several business interests in that part of the world.
I see that you have taken up shortwave radio's, does this mean that we
can communicate with each other on the airwaves or are you just
listening in on police broadcasts and the like?
Would you mind putting up some photos of your wedding to the lovely
Ning, we have been dying to see them.
I am informed by Steve that is was a memorable day and he had taken
some spectacular shots, like the professional he is.
btw He seems to be thriving since his move to Singapore.

Cheers for now.

Larby

Did you ever ride in one of those Cyclos? I have, a few times before,

Last time I saw a Cyclo was near Saltillo,Mexico. It was one of those
engine powered Cyclos, that thing looked older than dirt, looked like it
was held together with baling wire. There is a Saltillo,Mississippi too.

Old Top Gear re-run on the BBC America channel right now. Those Stupid
Morons are riding two wheelers the lenght of Vietnam.

That was on TV here a few weeks back. The ONLY interesting show they've

The Cyclos were invented in America. So was Chop Suey, I think.
The Rooskys (Russians) claim they invented everything.A lot of things we
take for granted was invented in China.I have a book about that, floatin
around here somewhere.
