Zune HD failing miserably - Insignia Portable HD Radio also a bust
The Zune HD 16GB has fallen off Amazon's top 100 in electronic sales,
and the Zune 32 GB has fallen to 39th place, up from 44th: http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers...ef=pd_ts_e_nav Critics are already calling MS to give up on the Zune HD: http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/C...0/-/u6hessz/-/ Bob Struble has already declared the Insignia Portable HD Radio a bust: "Struble: Radio Is the Last Analog Medium Standing" "HD Radio portables — No one's buying a lot of transistor radios anymore. The headphone radios that people used to run around the park with are all gone, and if radio wants to continue to be a reach medium, they've got to be in the devices people carry, which increasingly are cell phones, MP3 players, personal navigation devices... Insignia HD — I think this will be a nice little interim step for jogging or working out. It proves the viability [of the technology] and hopefully we'll get sales; but no, this is not going to sell in the hundreds of thousands... Radio alone — the sad reality of where it is — as a standalone device, it just doesn't exist anymore as a category. Nobody goes into Best Buy and says 'Where's the radio department?'" http://www.rwonline.com/article/87370 Watch for Struble's last spin on this! |
Zune HD failing miserably - Insignia Portable HD Radio also abust
Great Post and I agree - iBiquity digital radio is a total flop. No
one wants it, retailers can't sell it - just no need for it. It sure causes a lot of noise on AM radio as well. One clear channel station interfering with another - what a complete failure. |
