Identifying USB Cables Vers1 from The Newer 2.0: How ?

Hi,

Figured you folks would know.

Have a bag full of USB cables.
Some are probably the older USB 1, and some the newer 2.0.

No labels on them.

Is there any distinguishing marks on the cable or connectors that I'm
missing perhaps that tells one which is which ?

Thanks,
Bob

I thought he 2.0 protocol is for the electrons. I think old cables
still work. I could be wrong.

I use them interchangably, and notice no difference at all.

USB 1.0
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univers...al_Bus#USB_1.0

USB 2.0
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univers...al_Bus#USB_2.0

Note -if- your Connectors and Cables have
this LOGO on them :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USB_3.0_Icon.svg
Then they are most likely USB 3.0 and will work
with all the earlier {slower} USB 1.0 & 2.0 'stuff'.
