I guess it's the 'Peking Moon'... at any rate, here are the lyrics:

Did you ever think, when you eat Chinese
It ain't pork or chicken but a fat Siamese?
Yet the food tastes great, so you don’t complain.
But that’s not chicken in your chicken chow mein.
Seems to me I ordered sweet-and-sour pork
But Garfield’s on my fork.
He’s purrin’ here on my fork.
CHORUS
There’s a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
The place that I eat every day at noon.
They can feed you cat and you’ll never know
Once they wrap it up in dough, boy.
They fry it real crisp in dough.

Chou Lin asked if I wanted more
As he was dialin’ up his buddy at the old pet store.
I said "Not today. I lost my appetite.
There’s two cats in my belly and they want to fight."
I was suckin’ on a Rolaid and a Tums or two
When I swear I heard it mew, boys.
And that is when I knew.

CHORUS
There’s a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
I think I gotta stop eatin’ there at noon.
They say that it’s beef or fish or pork
But it’s purrin’ there on my fork.
There’s a hair-ball on my fork.

CHORUS
There’s a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
I think I gotta stop eatin’ there at noon.
They say that it’s beef or fish or pork
But it’s purrin’ there on my fork.
There’s a hair-ball on my fork.- Hide quoted text -

Priceless! Did you tape that?

To get the lyrics? No, I just did a Google.- Hide quoted text -

I'm going to tape the rest of this. Pretty good show, I have to throw
some wood on the fire - they're saying tonight is going to be the
coldest night so far.

I had my oven on cooking up some chicken for dinner. I sure do like using the oven in
the winter.

And, I've switched back to 3921 to listen to the Upper Peninsula net which usually runs to
2300 or so.- Hide quoted text -

Caught the closing. What exactly is that net about?

Just a general sort of check in and yak about the days going's on net.

I heard that guy
"doing the closing" .....and now there's a few others talking.- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, it's fun at times to listen to them, you almost feel like you
know them after a while. I thought it was a net about a certain
subject matter, we had a group out here seven- eight years ago
maybe that would talk about conspiracies and such, they don't do it
anymore sadly enough.

Tune around to see if the 'Liberty Net' is on somewhere.
They show up in different parts of 80m usually on Saturdays.

Yeah, I remember the Liberty Net - that was a hoot. I remember that
one guy who had that one show in Ky. if I remember right, that was
anti gubiment. He was begging to be shot and killed and of course that
is what happened, his son took over the show. Do you know what I'm
talking about? If you do, can you throw me the freq and day he's on -
if he's still on? Thanks.

If they're still on I think they operate around 3950 or so. I think the net
itself was or is on Saturday nights.

They're usually on anywhere from 3940 to 3960 kHz (depending on
interference) on Saturday nights beginning at 10PM Eastern time.
Listen for W1WCR's powerful signal.

You can also listen via the Internet at

http://www.stickam.com/LibertyNet

and

With all good wishes,

Hey Kevin, I'm going to start listening again to their show this Sat.
Are you ever on it? I remember hearing you before but I forget when
and where.
I checked out your site. Pretty interesting FWIW.

Thanks, Gregg. No, my amateur station is not on the air at the
moment -- one thing I'd have to do is replace at least some of the
gear that was stolen from me, some 41 years worth:

http://3950.net/about/

But I am very glad that N2SAG and N2IRJ are putting the Net on the
'Net. I'm also very grateful for the kind folks who put remotely
tuned receivers online -- without which I'd be doing very little
shortwave listening!

Remember that the Liberty Net isn't necessarily on a fixed frequency
-- I've seen them as much as 10 kHz off of 3950 depending on the
interference situation.

With my best,

Kevin, WB4AIO.

Best of luck. I know in my own case, recovering hardware,
classic cars, and other properties, took two decades in some cases.

A few recordings were recovered, but most were lost. And all but
two of the books were irretrievably dispersed.

Thank you, Peter... and very nice to hear from you again.

I'm sorry you had to go through such an experience. What losing
everything has taught me is the importance of non-material things,
especially friends and simple kindness.
