The following is the personal opinion of the author, who reserves the
right to republish this piece for profit, which you may read at your own risk, without any legal liabilities to the author or anyone who may publish or share this article (which must include this disclaimer) for which you here by waive the ability to sue for any reason in whole or in part in or outside of a court of law, if you do not agree, the entire article is to be considered a work of fiction, since you apparently want to live in an imaginary world. The History Channel is promoting this socialist garbage with out these important viewpoints that counter those views? Advancing that "patriotism" is about being born on a piece of land that should make it's will imposed on the will of other nations? I always thought "patriotism" was the collective sense that you personally were threatened, that you were in danger if the will of other nations were left to their own devices? By quoting the declarations of angry witnesess? This is in the same vain of "social justice" and the warped opinions that feed the sense of "injustice" where none exists? Has Chavez sent back the temperature readings yet from the sulphur dioxide plume emminating from hell in Copenhagen yet? |

This documentary that has no patriotic value and will distort the views of watchers was written by: Anthony Arnove is a freelance literary editor, agent and activist based in Brooklyn. He is on the board of directors of Haymarket Books, and is active in the National Writers Union and the International Socialist Organization.[1] Arnove is best known for his books on Iraq and the Iraq War. Arnove is the author of the book Iraq: The Logic of Withdrawal, published in hardcover by the New Press and in paperback by Haymarket Books. Arnove toured the country promoting the book in spring 2006 as part of the New Press' "End the War Tour".[2] Arnove is also the editor of Iraq Under Siege, published by South End Press, the co-editor with Howard Zinn of Voices of a People's History of the United States, published by Seven Stories Press,[1] and the editor of The Essential Noam Chomsky, published by the New Press.[3] He writes frequently for left-wing publications; he is a featured author at ZNet, a columnist for Socialist Worker, and on the editorial board of the International Socialist Review. He has also written for The Nation, In These Times,[1], Le Nouvel Observateur, L’Humanité, and The Financial Times.[4] (excerpt from Wikipedia) AND Howard Zinn (born August 24, 1922) is an American historian and professor emeritus in the Political Science Department at Boston University.[1] He is the author of more than 20 books, including A People's History of the United States (1980). Zinn has been active in the civil rights, civil liberties and anti-war movements in the United States, and has written extensively on all three subjects. (excerpt from Wikipedia) Who gave themselves the lattitude to produce this documentary based on their anti-war beliefs, in the face of aggressive actions by dictators that killed and set up governments of tyranny that the United States later freed? Muslims are no longer tortured legally because of actions by the United States Army? Holding back the puke while watching this documentary was evidence of violations of the Geneva Convention? |
