The Aussie government doesn't pay pensions to people who have managed to put away sufficient funds over their working lives to take care of themselves in old age. Quite obviously you didn't manage to do that! That's why you need to live in a place like Thailand, so you can eke a living on what scraps the government give you! Shame is you tried to extend your finances by going into the "people smuggling" trade.
