Apparently they have someone to back them if they are going to build
10 units. Guess it also depends on if they can get the parts they
need.

AOR seems to have a few problems with its $10K AR Alpha when the

AR7070 was on the drawing board for about two years so far.
Meantime,AOR-UK is no longer around. The originally planned retail
price was 1300 Sterling- a lot of money these days.

Meantime,AOR-UK is no longer around. The originally planned retail
price was 1300 Sterling- a lot of money these days.


What's the point?

There is a gap in the market for a high performance stand alone hf
receiver. Problem is the technology is moving too fast for the
production world. It's a good thing that someone is taking on the
challenge but with the drop in the dollar I would expect at least a
$3K price tag.

The point : it will carry a ridiculously high price of at least $2.5K
or,even higher.
