THE DEBATE on this week s Liberty Net was far more exciting than any
sports contest or drama you could see on television, and the novel
ideas exploded from all directions and illuminated the ionosphere
and our minds in three dimensions. There was a small amount of
rather pathetic jamming, and it looks like some of the noise the net
encountered was from a Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) broadcast
transmission from Europe. Net communications weren t impaired for
long, however. (It would be an improvement if European broadcasters
went to 90 meters and left 75 meters to amateurs.)

Could the motive behind these many moves to destroy the

German unemployment is differernt from the US. After unification some
part of former GDR had extremely high unemployment by any standards.

I doubt if "most" are, but yes, there were many dust bowl refugees
that made their way to California, particularly to the Central Valley.
In fact, that's the genesis of the California agricultural inspection
stations one sees on the highways leading into that state. Their
original purpose was to turn away such "undesirable" immigrants. For
that, the State of California got dragged into the Supreme Court for
interfering with the US Constitution and the right of Americans to
freely move from state to state.

I notice a distinct lack of interest in further discussing any
purported links between economic performance and alleged genetic
superiority, now that it has been pointed out that some racially very
diverse places have far better performance than some more "pure"
places.
