the immediate area.

Hamburger U is been around for decades, in Oakbrook. This is not
a new development.

One of my mentors, some years ago, used to say that most
broadcasters became broadcasters because they'd flunked out of
Hamburger U.

5 of the GM's I worked with over the years were washouts from
Hamburger U. One was so inept, that while working for Jack Hodges,
he opened a McDonald's that was so unsuccessful, another one didn't
make the attempt in town for another 15 years.

As you can imagine, he was a joy to work for.

As, in fact, are they all.

It stretches credulity that you never had a good boss.

I'm sure it couldn't have been you and your cranky disposition...always
blame the other guys. That's the ticket!

You obviously have never worked in radio. It is chock full of bitter
pricks personifying the Peter Principle in graphic live horror reality
every day. Why do you think the on-air talent is so jaded and cynical?
It's because they are studying to be managers.

There are some rare exceptions, but we're tracking those "nice guys"
down and getting rid of them.

It's a well known fact that they made files there too. James Garner
liked them so much he made a TV series with that name.
