Default For Anyone Using the Alpha Clock UTC Desktop App.

Hi,

For anyone using that nice little Alpha Clock app that displays UTC on
your desktop in a small rectangle:

The time displayed appears correct, but was wondering how they do it as
there does not seem to be any menu for setting one's time zone.

Do they grab all the info on you location from your PC clock, or... ?

Thanks,
Bob

Yes. Windows OS uses the time zone setting for its own clock when it
returns the local time to a program that asks for it. Most modern OSs
will do this for you.
