1961 * Armed Cuban exiles backed by the CIA invaded Cuba, landing in
the Bay of Pigs, with the aim of overthrowing the Cuban government
under Fidel Castro.

President Kennedy's decision not to provide naval and air support to
the rebels is seen by most analysts as the reason why the invasion
failed.

And the reason behind that was a constricted view of the problem.
Kennedy and his inner circle excluded information that should have
told them that the Cubans were not going to rise up against Castro
when the invaders landed, that his army was loyal and competent, and
that his air force was likewise. They expected the Cubans to rise up
against Castro and the army to turn on their ruler. They thought the
Cuban Air Force was incompetent. They were wrong on all counts
leading to perhaps the greatest fiasco in U.S. foreign relations
history. Groupthink played a big part in that terrible decision (cf.
Irving Janis, "Victims of Groupthink," Chapter 2). Fortunately the
Kennedy administration learned from that and did much better during
the Cuban missile crisis. Sadly, I don't see any similar learning
happening in the current administration.

Kennedy told Dulles not to go, Dulles went anyway thinking Kennedy would
then have no choice. Alan Dulles and George Herbert Bush. Kennedy didn't
fall for it. Tough ****.

Jack paid for it . It cost him his life .

That was a collaboration, Jack stepped on a lot of toes. He wasn't very
adept at the power player thing. You don't want the mob and the company
mad at you at the same time.

Freshman in High School. Ask Woody Harrelsen where his dad (a mafia hit
man whose specialty was high profile feds) was that day. Ask Gordon
Liddy about his (Mrs. Liddy's) prize Mauser.

Don't forget the Federal Reserve criminals. Kennedy was going to take
away their right to make/print money and restore it to the Govt. The
amount of profits at stake would have been immeasurable.

I have a sincere belief that it was the Reserve that had him killed.
